Duo wanted for armed home invasion

BEAUFORT, SC (WCSC) - Investigators are on the lookout for two men who entered a home and assaulted and robbed a couple in Beaufort County.

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Churchdale Drive in Burton around 10 p.m. on Tuesday in reference to a burglary and armed robbery.

The 24-year-old male victim told deputies that he and his girlfriend were robbed in their home by two men.

The victim said he was taking his dog out for a walk when he noticed the first suspect standing outside his home. According to the victim, after a brief exchange the victim went back inside the house.

An incident report states that the suspect accompanied by a second man then entered the home through an unlocked door.

The victim said both suspects were armed with pistols and demanded money. At one point, the victim says a struggle started between the victim and the suspects where the victim was chocked and hit in the head with a pistol.

The victim said one round was fired from the gun during the fight but the shot did not strike him. After taking money, both suspects then left the home.

The victims were taken to Beaufort Memorial where they were treated and released.

Authorities describe the suspects as black males between the ages of 20 and 30 and wearing all black clothing. The first suspect was also described as being 6-foot, 185 pounds with short dread locks and a short goatee.
