Man charged with cutting other driver in road rage incident

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - A Monday morning road rage incident ended with one man cutting another during a fight off Highway 52, according to Goose Creek police.

Captain John Granger with the Goose Creek Police Department said 49-year-old Rodney Castleberry, of Bonneau, and 41-year-old Scott Miller, of Moncks Corner, were traveling on Highway 52 when they engaged in mutual acts of road rage.

Police say Castleberry and Miller got out of their vehicles at the intersection with Old Mt. Holly Road and a physical struggle ensued. During the struggle, Miller's left hand was cut by a knife in Castleberry's possession, Grainger said.

Castleberry was arrested and taken to the Hill-Finklea Detention Center. He is charged with second degree assault and battery.

Miller was taken to Trident Medical Center for treatment. He may also be charged in the incident, police said.
