NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A North Charleston woman is selling fried treats in order to raise money for the family of Maraleius Birdsong, the 20-year-old pizza deliveryman shot dead in North Charleston almost two weeks ago.

The woman, Mary Majure, was one of Birdsong's co-workers. She runs a "food wagon" business on the side where she sells the fried dough "elephant ears" and other treats.

Now she's taking half of the money she raises to donate to the memorial fund for Birdsong. She's set up with her wagon every day near the Food Lion at the corner of Cross County Road and Dorchester Road.

If you'd like to donate money to Birdsong's family, you can do so at any First Federal Bank location. Memorial donations must be made out to the Maraleius Birdsong Memorial Fund.
