GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) -

The Goose Creek Police Department is trying to identify a man who allegedly used a stolen credit card at the Murphy Oil in Goose Creek last month.

On Feb. 21, police officers responded to the Wal-Mart shopping center on St. James Avenue in reference to fraud. Officers met with the victim who told police that her ATM card was stolen. On Tuesday, police released two surveillance photos of the suspect.

The female victim said she checked her bank account balance from the ATM inside the Wal-Mart then walked to the pharmacy inside the store. She then went to the money center and placed her belongings onto a table while she filled out paperwork.

After finishing her business at the money center, the victim noticed that she was no longer in possession of her ATM card. During the time her ATM card was missing, two charges were placed on the card.

The charges came from the Murphy Oil service station, which is located in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart. The first charge was for 31.76 and the second charge was for $15.98. Varner advised that her ATM card had been cut off and that she was unaware of any further charges.

If you have any information about this individual you are encouraged to contact Investigator Micah Fogle at 863-5200 ext. 334.
