Sheriff: Man chased invader out of Pawleys Island home

PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say a man chased an invader out of his Pawleys Plantation home early Sunday morning.

Georgetown County Sheriff's Office investigators say the incident happened at a home on Golden Bear Drive around 2 a.m. The resident told deputies he was awakened when a tall man walked into his bedroom.

The resident said he chased the perpetrator out of his house and fired a warning shot from his gun into the air.

The invader is described as a man standing between 6'1" and 6'4". He was dressed in dark clothing and possibly wearing a hoodie or a stocking cap.

Georgetown County Sheriff's Investigators are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for a home invasion at a residence in the

Pawleys Island Community of Georgetown County.
