GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - Goose Creek police arrested a U.S. Army deserter on Monday during a routine traffic stop.

Jennifer Lynn Wyckoff, 27, of Lexington, was a passenger in a Nissan Xterra which Goose Creek Police Department Officers pulled over after discovering the vehicle had expired tags.

Officers said Wyckoff seemed quite nervous during the 12:15 p.m. stop on Highway 52, and when officers ran her driver's license, they discovered there was a felony warrant for her arrest from the U.S. Army for desertion.

Wyckoff was arrested and taken to the Hill-Finklea Detention Center. She will be taken back to Fort Jackson for trial.
