COLLETON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Deputies say they arrested one of Colleton County's "Most Wanted" suspects early Wednesday morning.
Colleton County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to 2667 Ritter Road just before 5 a.m. after receiving a tip that Clinton Sameul Grant, wanted on narcotics charges, was staying there.
Deputies say Grant was arrested after a brief standoff and taken to the Colleton County Detention Center. Deputies also said they recovered a stolen handgun from the home.
Grant is charged with unlawful possession of a stolen pistol, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, and possession within intent to distribute cocaine within a half-mile of Black Street Early Childhood Development Center.
Sheriff George Malone said Grant was previously twice convicted of unlawful carrying of a weapon and was also convicted of public disorderly conduct, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, simple possession of marijuana, and giving false information to police.
