CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police have arrested a man wanted for Monday's armed robbery of a woman in the parking lot of the Food Lion on King Street.

Charleston Police Department spokesman Charles Francis said 36-year-old Shonetone Dickie Hines was arrested Wednesday. Police say Hines approached a woman on his bicycle around 8:30 p.m. as she was sitting in her car with the driver's side door open.

Officers say Hines wedged his front bicycle tire in the car door and then placed an unknown object in the back of her ribs before robbing her.

Hines is charged with armed robbery. He is being held in the Charleston County Detention Center.
