No bond for man accused of shooting teen in neck

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Officials with the North Charleston Police Department say they have arrested a 23-year-old man accused of shooting a teen who was driving on Ashley Phosphate Road Friday afternoon.

Investigators say they arrested Oral Wigfall of Huger, SC at the Enterprise Rental Car at the Charleston International Airport around 5:50 p.m. Wigfall is charged with two counts of attempted murder.

He went to bond court on Saturday morning where a judge denied him bond.

On Friday afternoon, officers responded to the Citgo gas station on Ashley Phosphate Road in reference to a shooting and found the 19-year-old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck. There was another person in the car with the 19-year-old but that person wasn't hurt.

The victim was then transported to MUSC. Witnesses say they saw a black Chevrolet Camaro leaving the scene of the shooting.

According to a police report, the suspect's vehicle, a black Chevrolet Camaro, was recovered as well.
