WALTERBORO, SC (WCSC) - Authorities arrested a Walterboro woman on criminal domestic violence charges last Saturday after she allegedly stabbed a man in the shoulder.
Walterboro Public Safety officers responded to the Colleton Medical Center to find a man suffering from a stab wound in his shoulder. The man told officers that during a verbal argument, 20-year-old Porsha Hampton hit him in the head with a pot and then stabbed him in the shoulder.
Hampton told authorities she stabbed the man, but only after he shoved and pointed a gun at her. She was arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature.
The knife was recovered from the scene and entered into evidence, officers said.
