The Charleston RiverDogs host the Rome Braves at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park at 7:05 p.m. on Apr. 7.
Hudson is coming off November surgery to repair a herniated disk in his back.
Veteran Rome manager Randy Ingle confirmed Thursday night that Hudson will start the game and that he is expected to throw "two-to-three innings."
