Local men indicted in federal court for mortgage fraud

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Two Charleston men were indicted in federal court for mortgage fraud.

According to court officials, 42-year-old Jason G. Haywood and 46-year-old David Mantek were charged in a 3-count indictment with conspiracy to commit mortgage fraud.

The maximum penalty that both men could face is 30 years in prison. The case was investigated by the FBI.
