CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Plans for a brand new cruise terminal took a step forward on Wednesday after they were approved by the Charleston Architectural Review Board.
The plans call for a renovation of an old warehouse on Union Pier, down the street from the current terminal. It is a $35 million project.
A lawsuit from the Preservation Society of Charleston is still pending, because the board regulates only the appearance of buildings, not their location.
The SC Supreme Court has agreed to hear arguments on the case.
