Nighttime delays on Bees Ferry Road tonight

WEST ASHLEY, SC (WCSC) -

Motorists can expect delays on Bees Ferry Road overnight as crews continue to work to widen the road.

Stops will occur between Sanders Road and Grand Oaks Boulevard between 8 p.m. Thursday and 5 a.m. on Friday. Workers with flags will direct traffic through the construction zone.

If weather is poor, work will continue on the next weather-permitting night, except Friday and Saturday.

The goal of the project, which is expected to be completed April 2014, is to make improvements to the entire 4.5 mile length of Bees Ferry Road from Savannah Highway to Ashley River Road.
