WILLIAMSBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - An unusual fire in Williamsburg County over the weekend forced firefighters to use special tactics.
Fire officials say the engine of a CSX freight train caught fire around 1 a.m. on Sunday that threatened the train's 3,500 gallons of fuel.
Crews responded to the 10th Street railroad crossing lane. Investigators say a diesel line caught fire.
Firefighters were concerned the train's fuel could explode, so they used special foam to put out the flames.
No injuries were reported.
