CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Authorities say a body which was found in the waters of the Cooper River on Tuesday is that of a missing 23-year-old woman.
The coroner's office says Charleston police harbor patrol found the body of Elizabeth Ashley Ward of Wadmalaw Tuesday afternoon in front of the Yorktown.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
Authorities have been searching for Ward after her vehicle was found idling on the Arthur Ravenel Bridge around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday.
According to Charleston Police, they were not investigating her disappearance as a crime.
