NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The North Charleston Farmers Market is opening its doors for the spring and summer seasons.
The farmers market opens on Thursday in the Olde Village of North Charleston. The market is open every Thursday through mid-October and features produce and free-range poultry and beef from local growers.
There is also locally caught seafood for sale, and local vendors are offering arts and crafts, as well as gourmet dog treats.
Local artists are also playing a role in the market. Musical performances and demonstrations from visual artists will alternate each week.
