CORDESVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Berkeley County deputies arrested one of Live 5's most wanted fugitives.
Tonya Bennett, 38, is wanted by North Charleston police on forgery charges.
Berkeley County deputies found Bennett inside a camper in Cordesville.
She was taken to the Berkeley County Detention Center. She faces three counts of forgery.
"The lady she was living with stole her checkbook, credit cards," said North Charleston Police Detective Jason Monroe. "She was actually staying there as a caregiver for the lady's mother, who was very ill at the time."
Monroe said Bennett and her friend soon had a falling out and Bennett moved out of the house.
"When she left, she noticed some things were odd, goes and does an audit of her bank accounts."
Monroe said Bennett began to forge the victim's checks at area stores.
"Friend of the family, and she ripped them off."
