SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - Bond was set at more than half a million dollars for a 19 year old accused of a carjacking at a parking lot in Summerville on Monday.
Bryan Howell received a $525,000 bond Wednesday morning for charges that included carjacking, armed robbery, failure to stop for blue lights and child endangerment.
Police say the victim was in his car and getting ready to leave a library on Old Trolley Road when one of the suspects put a gun to his chest and told him to get out of the vehicle.
Police say the suspects then crashed the car into another vehicle in the area of Rose Lane and Azalea Drive. The suspects then took off on foot.
Bryan Howell, 19, and a 15-year-old were charged in the incident. The juvenile was taken to Columbia where he is being housed in the Department of Juvenile Justice.
