Bullet holes found on door of Pawleys Island school

PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Deputies with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office found what appear to be bullet holes on the front door of Waccamaw Middle School in Pawleys Island Wednesday.

According to the sheriff's office spokesperson Carrie Cuthbertson, deputies responded to the school at 247 Wildcat Way after an alarm sounded.

Once on scene, Cuthbertson said deputies observed the front entrance door glass to be broken which appeared to be caused by bullet holes.

The entrance and the perimeter of the school were secured and cleared. There were no signs entry was made into the building.

The investigation is ongoing.
