Vice President Biden's visit to Charleston causes traffic hold ups

SULLIVAN'S ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Vice President Joe Biden's visit to the Lowcountry today caused traffic nightmares Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities had shut down a number of roads in the area due to the vice president in the Lowcountry.

A campaign spokesperson says the vice president was in town to attend a private fundraising event on Sullivan's Island.

Tickets for the event started at $10,000 with proceeds going to the Obama Victory Fund.
