Goose Creek rising seniors Tramel Terry and Gerald Turner have each been nominated to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl according to the game's committee. The Gators duo are among 6 players from South Carolina being considered for the game.
Terry, who has committed to play at Georgia, gained almost 1700 yards of total offense last season between rushing and receiving and scored 16 touchdowns. He's considered the top prospect in the state and one of the top Wide Receivers in the country.
Turner, who has committed to South Carolina, had 42 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, nine sacks, six forced fumbles, five pass breakups, and five blocked punts. He also intercepted a pass and returned it 80 yards for a touchdown and recovered a blocked punt for a touchdown during his Junior year.
"The U.S. Army All-American Bowl provides the national platform for young athletes and musicians to showcase their talent and strength," said Bruce Jasurda, Chief Marketing Officer, U.S. Army. "This nomination recognizes the mental, emotional and physical strengths, and leadership qualities, these athletes possess both on and off the field; qualities they share with Army Strong Soldiers. The Army congratulates all of the athletes on their nomination."
