GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCSC) - A 73-year-old man died Thursday night after he drove his car into a tree in the median of Montague Plantation Boulevard, authorities say.

Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury says 73-year-old Dean Craven, of Goose Creek, was taken to the hospital after striking a tree around 11:15 p.m.  He was pronounced dead a short time later due to head and chest trauma.
