CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Dozens of the Lowcountry's most dedicated volunteers were the guests of honor Tuesday night at a very special banquet.
The Salvation Army held its annual appreciation dinner at The Citadel.
Volunteers who support the year round community service projects run by the SA were highlighted.
Special Thank You's went out to Debi's Kids partners for their efforts providing gifts and meals for families during the holiday season.
Last year, SA bell ringing volunteers collected $190,000 in kettles. Debi's Kids and the SA Angel Tree, with the public's generous support, provided Christmas gifts for 4800 children in Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester counties.
