Local bands take stage Sunday at First Flush Festival

JOHNS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - The Charleston Tea Plantation is celebrating its first tea harvest of the season this Sunday with a live music festival.

The 6th Annual First Flush Fes'tea'val will be held this Sunday, May 20 at the Charleston Tea Plantation on Wadmalaw Island. The festival is sponsored by Clear Channel Communications.

This family-friendly event will showcase live music by a number of local bands, food vendors and arts and crafts. There will also be an area for kids to play that will have a water slide, so bring swim suits and towels.

The event begins at 11 a.m., with music playing from 11:30 a.m. until the festival ends at 6 p.m.

The local bands that will take the stage are:

  • 11:30-12:00 - Annalise Morelli
  • 12:15-12:45 - Matt McKelcan
  • 1:00-1:45 - Tyler Boone Band
  • 2:00-2:45 - Gaslight Street
  • 3:05-4:20 - Blue Dogs
  • 4:45-6:00 - Long Miles

Get your tickets early as they are $15 in advance, and bump up to $20 day of the show. Kids under 10 get in free. No coolers are allowed.
