SUMMERVILLE, SC (WCSC) - The Mobile Vet Center is making its way to Summerville next Thursday to offer military veterans a number of services.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, Dorchester County Veterans Affairs Office and Ralph H. Johnson VAMC are coming together to bring the Mobile Vet Center to SC Works Trident on Thursday, May 24. The mobile center will be there from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Counselors and outreach workers will be on hand to tell veterans what kind of benefits they are entitled to and what jobs are available to them.
They can also provide readjustment counseling for Active-Duty, National Guard, and Reserve as well.
Other services that will be available is counseling for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Military Sexual Trauma, bereavement counseling, marriage and family counseling, and resources like VA benefits information.
