CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - The Tropical Storm Watch for the Lowcountry has been discontinued on Sunday evening as Tropical Storm Alberto begins to move northeast over the next 24 hours.
Live 5 Meteorologist Brad Miller said Alberto, located about 120 miles south of Charleston, was nearly stationary on Sunday night,
Alberto is a weak tropical storm, so minimal effects are expected. Miller said we can expect variably cloudy skies on Monday with a 30% chance of showers and highs in the low 80s.
Miller said Alberto is expected to continue moving away from us on Tuesday, but with daytime heating, we will see scattered showers and storms for the afternoon.
