Bert Atkinson shot a final round 69 to pull away from the rest of the field and win his 7th Charleston City Amateur championship at the Municipal Golf Course on Sunday. 

Atkinson finished 9 shots ahead of Brian Phillips who shot a 72 on Sunday to finish in 2nd place, one shot ahead of Matt Laydon. 

Wando alum and South Carolina golfer Caulder Moore, who started the day just 4 shots back of Atkinson struggled in the final round shooting an 87 to finish in 8th place, 22 shots back.
