CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police are looking for a Hollywood man wanted after they say he shot a man several times during a robbery at the Bridgeview Apartment complex last week.

Charles Francis, spokesman for the Charleston Police Department, said arrest warrants have been issued for 20-year-old Antonio Heyward.

Francis said two victims were trying to purchase drugs from Heyward and one other suspect at the apartment complex on North Romney Street around 6 p.m. last Tuesday when a disagreement developed and a struggle ensued, ending with a 26-year-old man being shot.

The victim was taken to MUSC for treatment.  His condition is unknown at this point.

Heyward is charged with first degree assault and battery, attempted armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Police say they are still trying to identify a second suspect in the shooting.

If you have any information regarding Heyward's whereabouts, call police at 577-7434 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
