JOHNS ISLAND, SC (WCSC) - Deputies have arrested a woman and are looking for two men in connection with a fatal shooting and assault which happened on Johns Island last week.
Charleston County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jim Brady said deputies arrested 21-year-old Quansantrina Jaeureka Rivers, of North Charleston, on Monday, in connection with the death of Kadeem Ali Chambers and the assault of another teen on Cynthia Avenue early last Wednesday.
Deputies said Chambers was found shot dead behind the wheel of his vehicle and the teenaged victim was found hiding in a nearby portable toilet.
Brady said deputies are also looking for 19-year-old Dashaun Livaughn Simmons and 20-year-old Denzel Marquis Heyward in connection with the shooting and assault.
According to Brady, investigators determined that Rivers drove Simmons and Heyward to the area near Cynthia Avenue prior to the shooting and assault. Investigators say she then waited for Simmons and Heyward to return from the scene before driving off.
The victims and the suspects had arranged to meet in the area prior to the shooting and assault, Brady added.
Heyward and Simmons are charged with murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.
Rivers is charged with accessory to murder, accessory to attempted murder, and accessory to armed robbery.
Simmons and Heyward have not been located at this time and anyone with information into the whereabouts of Simmons and Heyward are asked to contact the Charleston County Sheriff's Office at 843-202-1700 or Crime Stoppers At 843-554-1111.
