Vandals sought for causing thousands of dollars worth of damage to school

Charleston Police say a man with a knife tried to steal two containers of laundry detergent from a pharmacy.

KINGSTREE, SC (WCSC) - Kingstree police are trying to find the vandals who caused thousands of dollars in damage to a school campus.

Chief Robert Ford said the vandals struck Kingstree Senior High School on Martin Luther King Avenue late Monday night.

Authorities say the vandals destroyed a common area, broke benches and tables, spray painted the building and tore out the wiring for surveillance cameras.
