BERKELEY COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 32-year-old man for a fatal shooting that happened early Sunday morning outside a club in Cross.

Investigators charged Detron Lamont Giles with murder. Authorities say more arrests are expected in the case.

Deputies responded to a club called "Da Zone," located at 529 County Line Road, at 3:30 a.m. after they say an altercation ended with the death of a 30-year-old man in the parking lot.

The victim was identified as Kiron Jenkins, of Pineville.

Sheriff's investigators said there were between 50 and 75 people in the parking lot when the shots were fired.

"I hope and pray that God would touch them so they can come forth and say exactly what happened and they can get the person or persons that did it," said Kiron's mother, Christina.

Anyone who has information is asked to call crime stoppers at 843-554-1111 or the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office at 843-719-4412.
