(CNN) - Keep an eye on intersections if you're hitting the road this Memorial Day weekend.
A new study warns more people run red lights during that weekend than any other one.
According to the National Coalition for Safer Roads, more than 2.3 million drivers in 18 states ran a red light last year.
The violations were more than 27 percent higher on Memorial Day weekend.
Experts say the reason is drivers may be anxious to get to their holiday destinations.
The report also found more red-light violations happened on Friday than any other day of the week.
