CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Volunteers with the American Red Cross were busy Friday, providing shelter to two families after their homes were damaged in fires.
The Charleston Fire Department responded to fire at 1954 Boeing Avenue in Charleston last night. The fire caused major damage to the single-family home. The Red Cross has given the family of three food and comfort kits.
A North Charleston home also went up in flames following a kitchen fire last night. The house is located at 2924 Alabama Drive. The Red Cross has provided the family of four with three days of lodging and food.
