CROSS, SC (WCSC) - Charges have been dismissed against two men accused of killing a man outside a Berkeley County nightclub in 2012 following conflicting witness statements, according to the Ninth Judicial Circuit Solicitors Office.

Brandon Jerell Singleton, 20, and Detron Lamont Giles, 32, were charged with murder in the shooting death of Kyron Jenkins in the parking lot outside of "Da Zone," a club on County Line Road.

Deputy Solicitor Bryan A. Alfaro says the chargers were dismissed Friday due to conflicting witness testimony, self defense issues, and identification issues.

According to Alfaro, there were witness discrepancies involving the sequence of events during the night of the murder and reports of who actually shot who.
