Fort Dorchester alum Carlos Dunlap made his return to his alma mater on Saturday to host his very first kids day camp to teach youngsters some of the basics of the sport that has made him a success.
Dunlap, who went on to start at the University of Florida and in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals, hosted almost 300 kids between the ages of 6-14 for a 4 hour day of fun on the Patriots practice field.
Carlos had some help as well, as his high school teammate and St. Louis Rams DE Robert Quinn also made the trip home to help his friend by lending his skills.
Quinn and Dunlap spent a majority of the day spending time with the kids, taking pictures and signing autographs. Carlos said he was so encouraged with the way things had gone, he's already looking forward to having a 2nd annual camp next season. He said he'd like to be able to accommodate even more kids next time and possibly spread the camp out over a couple of days.
