NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Governor Nikki Haley was supposed to head down the South Carolina coast on Monday to talk about hurricane preparations with local and state officials, but it will not actually happen until Friday.

The governor had news conferences planned in Horry, Charleston, and Beaufort counties today, but they'll take place Friday instead.

The hurricane season just opened last Friday, but even before that, Tropical Storms Alberto and Beryl caused some angst for residents along the SC coast.
