Police: Man arrested after stabbing victim multiple times

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Police have arrested a 27-year-old man accused of stabbing a man multiple times during an argument at an apartment in North Charleston early Monday morning.

The North Charleston Police Department charged Jermaine Jamal Jamison with attempted murder.

On Monday morning, officers responded to an apartment at the Regency Square Apartments on 6601 Dorchester Road in reference to a stabbing.

Officers say they found the victim sitting at the top of the stairs with the suspect standing next to him. The victim said he was stabbed and he was feeling light headed.

North Charleston Police Department spokesman Spencer Pryor said the victim was stabbed multiple times around 5 a.m. Officers say they saw a cut to the victim's right wrist and two small puncture wounds to the left side of his body under his left arm.

A witness told police that the suspect stabbed the victim during a verbal argument. The victim was transported to MUSC for serious injuries.
