CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - Gov. Nikki Haley is getting ready to defend herself in a state house ethics committee investigation.
The complaint against her involves allegations she used her influence as a state legislator to get deals for two companies she worked for before she became governor.
"It`s unprecedented, absolutely unprecedented," Haley said during an interview on Tuesday. "But I will tell you I have nothing to hide. So I am fine with the fact that it is public."
Rep. Chip Limehouse, who is not on the ethics committee, says all ethics committee hearings should have been made public a long time ago.
"I don`t want to make this case with the governor the example," Limehouse said."But going forward, I think we should have all of the ethics hearings in the sunshine."
Haley said she and her family have not yet decided whether she will run for re-election.
