MT. PLEASANT, SC (WCSC) - Motorists in Mt. Pleasant will encounter new traffic shifts on Bowman Road over the next 30 days as construction progresses on Johnnie Dodds Boulevard.
Beginning Monday, shifts will affect drivers daily from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in both directions on Bowman Road from Marsh Court Lane, near the McDonald's, to West Frontage Road, near East Cooper Medical Center.
The shifts are necessary to install curbs, gutters, sidewalks, asphalt, and other activities. Shifts will be marked with construction cones and signs.
Drivers traveling through the project's construction zone are asked to be aware of equipment and crews working in the area at all times.
Drivers are encouraged to go slow and allow additional time to reach their destinations safely.
