CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - U.S. Rep. Tim Scott is serving burgers and fries as part of his efforts to work at local businesses and see what he can do to help working folks in South Carolina.
Scott waits tables at California Dreaming Restaurant in Charleston on Monday.
The Republican who represents the 1st District along the state's coast is working beside a server during the lunch time rush. Scott says he wants to discuss how federal tax policies and the lack of a comprehensive energy strategy are hurting small businesses.
Each month, Scott heads into the workplace as part of his "Talkin' Shop with Tim" effort.
