Dorchester County deputies arrested a woman Monday evening after they say she stabbed a friend while they drank on a front porch.

Deputies say Shelby Elaine Stone, 51, stabbed a 53-year-old man in the arm around 6:20 p.m. at 138 Pike Drive in the Twin Lakes community. The victim is Stone's roommate, say deputies.

A third roommate told deputies Stone took his pocketknife and used it to stab the victim. Stone said she was being set up and that the 47-year-old roommate who owns the knife actually did the stabbing.

According to an incident report, deputies found multiple beer bottles on the porch, and all three roommates smelled of alcohol.

The victim was treated for his wound by paramedics, and refused to be taken to the hospital, according to the report.
