CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) - A 20-year-old man convicted of armed robbery was sentenced to life in prison without parole on Thursday.

Marvin Green was sentenced to life after being convicted of robbing the Sunoco on Highway 17 in Ravenel on the morning of Christmas Eve in 2010.

Despite a thin disguise, the cashier recognized Green as a regular customer he had seen approximately two to three times a week for approximately a year prior to the robbery. The store was equipped with a video surveillance system which captured the entire robbery on video.

The armed robbery conviction is Green's second. In 2008, he robbed a convenience store in Hollywood.

He also has pending charges for two other armed robberies in Charleston and Colleton counties.
