MURRELLS INLET, SC (WMBF) - Something wild was wandering around a Murrells Inlet community Monday, and that had some residents concerned, and others trying out their best nature photography skills.
Viewers report they saw a black bear walking around the Mt. Gilead neighborhood around 8 a.m. Monday morning.
Photos from Mark Bridgers show the bear was taking a swim in the creek before moving on and strolling through the community.
Biologists with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources believe it's the same bear that's been seen now and then over the past two years. This bear seems to return to the area during mating season staying from two days to a week at the time.
