Bond has been set for the 13 people who were arrested Friday morning after a warrant sweep at the Woodside Manor subdivision.
Charleston County Sheriff's Office Major Jim Brady said agencies executed seven search warrants around 5:30 a.m. As a result, 39 arrest warrants were served and 13 people are already in custody.
Of the 13 arrested, Brady was only able to provide suspect information for eight of them.

of cocaine base and one count of distribution of marijuana; 18-year-old

marijuana and one count each of possession with intent to distribute
marijuana and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number;

of cocaine base; 18-year-old Deontrae Singleton, charged with seven
counts of distribution of cocaine base and six magistrate bench

The warrants are a result of investigations into increased criminal activities in the community over the past several months including drug sales and several drive-by shootings, some of which had not previously been reported to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, Brady added.
"It's about time the cleaned up the streets with the drugs and stuff," said Woodside Manor resident Rose Holmes. "I don't have anything else to say about what they do. They did a good job."
"I think it's fabulous. They need to sweep the entire neighborhood," said a woman who asked not to be identified.
There have been 19 calls for service in the neighborhood in 2012, including: nine burglaries, four auto break-ins, three stolen vehicles, two shootings, and one report of shots fired.
Brady said more arrests may be made at a later date.
