LADSON, SC (WCSC) -

Bond has been set for the 13 people who were arrested Friday morning after a warrant sweep at the Woodside Manor subdivision.

Charleston County Sheriff's Office Major Jim Brady said agencies executed seven search warrants around 5:30 a.m. As a result, 39 arrest warrants were served and 13 people are already in custody.

Of the 13 arrested, Brady was only able to provide suspect information for eight of them.

They are: 20-year-old Rahsad Gadson, charged with six counts of distribution of cocaine base and one count of distribution of marijuana; 18-year-old Jenaron Singleton, charged with three counts of distribution of marijuana and one count each of possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number; 19-year-old Brion Williams, charged with three counts of distribution of cocaine base; 18-year-old Deontrae Singleton, charged with seven counts of distribution of cocaine base and six magistrate bench warrants; 21-year-old Jake Williams, charged with one count of simple possession of marijuana; 32-year-old Sherrie Wright, charged with one count of simple possession of marijuana; 24-year-old Javon Tyrell Dowling, charged with one count of distribution of marijuana, and 31-year-old Nathaniel Dean Patton, charged with three counts of distribution of cocaine.

Gadson's bond is set at $260,000; Jenaron Singleton's bond is set at $110,000; Brion Williams' bond is set at $150,000; Deontrae Singleton's bond is set at $350,000; Jake Williams' bond is set at $620; Wright's bond is set at $620. Dowling and Patton's bonds have not been released yet.

The warrants are a result of investigations into increased criminal activities in the community over the past several months including drug sales and several drive-by shootings, some of which had not previously been reported to the Charleston County Sheriff's Office, Brady added.

"It's about time the cleaned up the streets with the drugs and stuff," said Woodside Manor resident Rose Holmes. "I don't have anything else to say about what they do. They did a good job."

"I think it's fabulous. They need to sweep the entire neighborhood," said a woman who asked not to be identified.

There have been 19 calls for service in the neighborhood in 2012, including: nine burglaries, four auto break-ins, three stolen vehicles, two shootings, and one report of shots fired.

Brady said more arrests may be made at a later date.

Search warrants were served at the following residences.

  • 4454 Hardwood Drive
  • 4453 Logwood Drive
  • 4490 Kindlewood Drive
  • 4477 Jenwood Drive
  • 4435 Farmwood Drive
  • 4405 Clovewood Drive
  • 8465 Patriot Blvd Bldg 209

Agencies assisting the Charleston County Sheriff's Office SWAT and Metro Narcotics Units in the operation included the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, Goose Creek Police Department, North Charleston Police Department, Summerville Police Department SWAT, the Ninth Circuit Solicitor's Office, the Coastal Carolina Chaplaincy and Charleston County EMS.

Bond hearings are tentatively scheduled for Saturday.
