
College of Charleston men's basketball players Jordan Scott (Darlington, S.C.) and James Carlton (Winterville, N.C.) have been released from their scholarships.
Scott, a 6-foot-1 sophomore guard, played in 29 games during the 2011-12 season with 14 starts. He averaged 3.8 points and 1.1 rebounds per game. Scott was released in March by the previous coaching staff.
Carlton, a 6-foot-7 sophomore forward, saw limited action in 22 games this past season averaging 1.1 points and 1.5 rebounds off the bench for the Cougars.
"We wish Jordan and James the very best as they both continue to pursue their academic and athletic goals," CofC Head Coach Doug Wojcik said.
