SHELBYVILLE, MI (RNN) - Weddings can be full of stressful situations, but one wedding party got a chance to cool down after a dock they were standing on gave way.
Eric Walber and Maegan McKee had their wedding last Saturday near Grand Rapids, MI. The couple and their party were taking photos on a dock when it collapsed, causing them all to take a plunge in a local lake.
Although no one was hurt, McKee was unable to get her footing underwater due to her heavy wedding dress. Luckily, her bridesmaids were by her side to help because the groom swam ashore.
Their wet clothing didn't dampen their day, however. The party laughed it off and headed onto dry land for photos in their soaked formalwear.
The new Mrs. Walber changed into her rehearsal dress for the rest of the wedding.
The couple is now on their honeymoon in Mackinac Island, MI, where they can trade their wedding attire for more beach-appropriate clothing.
