Duo wanted for burglarizing downtown middle school

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) -

Investigators are on the lookout for two juveniles who burglarized a downtown middle school.

The Charleston Police Department says the two suspects broke into Burke Middle School on 244 President St.

On June 17, police officers responded to the school in reference to an alarm. When officers arrived at the school, they saw books scattered next to an open window. Officers say when they looked inside they also saw books scattered inside a room.

Police along with a security officer located a spent fire extinguisher and a "Mad Dog 20/20" alcoholic beverage inside the school.

According to an incident report, at the time officers responded, it did not appear there was any further damage to the building or any items missing.  The security officer then notified police that he would review the video footage and contact police with any results.

Police describe the first suspect as a white male juvenile, dark hair, unknown tattoo on top wrist and wearing cutoff jean shorts and a gray t-shirt that says "It's Just Money."

The second suspect is described as white male juvenile, chin length hair and wearing a white t-shirt, black skinny jeans and a blue hoodie that says "Florida."
