Lowcountry authorities helped U.S. Marshals arrest a Virginia Beach murder suspect in Islandton on Tuesday.
According to Deputy U.S. Marshal Frank Conroy, Charleston County Sheriff's Office deputies and North Charleston Police Department officers helped apprehend 29-year-old Terrence Henderson, who allegedly stabbed someone to death at a Waffle House.
Conroy said authorities arrived at the home Henderson was hiding in on Tuesday to find him trying to escape out of a side window.
He was taken into custody without incident, Conroy added.
Kelvin Washington, the U.S. Marshal for South Carolina, stated: "Mr. Henderson thought he could escape his charges by hiding in relative anonymity in a small rural town. He did not realize that the U.S. Marshals and their partnered agencies never give up until they find their man. I would like to thank all that were involved in this arrest, including those Virginia authorities who were helpful in his apprehension. He will be housed at the Colleton County Detention Center until he is extradited back to Virginia."
