LADSON, SC (WCSC) - North Charleston police are investigating after a SUV drove into a treatment center for children in Ladson on Thursday morning.
MUSC officials say the SUV jumped the sidewalk and crashed through the front entrance of the STAR center on 3495 Iron Horse Drive.
A staff member at the center was injured by flying debris and was taken to the hospital. She was treated, released and returned to work.
According to MUSC, the STAR center provides intensive day treatment and partial hospitalization services to children and teenagers five days a week.
The facility is expected to re-open on Friday. No charges have been filed yet.
